How do you keep your life organised?
I'm really bad at keeping organised. My homework always gets ontop of me and I end up doing everything last-minute. I get average marks but feel like I could be going a lot better if I gave myself more time. My problem is that I get distracted very easily (especially by things like facebook and emails). Please help!

- I don't. =S But lol one really good thing is to use an agenda. It will help you become aware of what's due and when. You should look over everything you get the day of, and start working on it asap so that you would be able to take your sweet time. Assign one or two hours a day (depending on your workload) strictly for studying. Find a nice quiet room. Turn off your cell, if you get a phone call (at home) tell your parents to say that you are busy, and most importantly don't go online!! If you absolutely must for homework purposes, don't sign into facebook or hotmail. If you do, call yourself on it and immediately close it. Good luck.
- I have found that keeping a diary is VERY helpful. Each day you can refer to what needs to be done. Among this i keep a whole lot of well known motivational sayings in my diiary to remind me why i should keep trying. like for example " the best way to predict the future,, is to invent it" Now i know this may sound gay, but listening to classical music such as mozart keeps me alert and on target. When i study, i try to make my work as colourful as possible and make a game out of it. I tend to also have a friends who do keep me on track on things. My friend, when i tell him to, always remidns me how mand days left till and exam or assignment is due. This adds pressure on me which can be good sometimes. When i get an assignment of exam date, i plan. Planning is VERY important. Try thinking bubbles. They are the key to succsess in exams and assignments. I write in a circle, what the subject is for eg " how to study better " then i draw lines and write what comes up in my head. ( brainstorming ) planning I __________________ I How to study better I I_________________ I hope i helped :D
- There are two things to consider: long range planning and short range planning. Long range planning: On a monthly calendar, write in "science" or "history" on the day it is due. Keep it out on your dresser or desk where you can see it and be reminded. Short range planning: Keep a pad of paper on your dresser or desk and every day, first thing, write down all the things you need to get done for that day. Sports, chores, homework, etc. This is really quick and only takes a few seconds to do. Check off your items as you do them. (I use a small dry erase board to plan my day) Have a set time for homework, like after dinner or after school. Unless you specifically need your computer to do homework, don't go online at all. In fact, try to do your homework in a room where you won't be tempted to use the computer. Turn off your cell, etc. If you have a lot of homework, take 15 minute breaks.
