Office Closets

When organizing and decluttering what things should you keep close to your fingertips?

Was wondering what type of things can be put away and what type of things should be kept right out or within immediate reach?

  1. It helps to know what area/room you are talking about. For example, in my kitchen, I keep the things I use on a daily basis out on the counter, but they are organized and look orderly. I have a toaster, a knife block, and a tea kettle. But everything else goes away. Think about how you want things to look. You can have pens in a pen cup on your desk or placed in the drawer of your desk and it will take the same amount of time and energy to access either of them. It is a mixture of your needs AND appearance, and things tend to look less cluttered when they are organized into cabinets, drawers, etc.
  2. You should keep the stuff that you use the most close at hand and put the other things you din't use as much away.
  3. i think it depends on who you are and what you do for work and hobbies you enjoy.well if you think about it ,if your organized, you should be able to go right to it.i love to organize but i will tell you i had a draw full of batteries and extra light bulbs and other things of that sort, i bought a small see threw bin to put them in and put them in the bacement.later i needed some batteries and couldnt remember where i put them, hehehehe.i would say get a see threw bin and place things you need in it and keep it close.batteries and flashlight, light bulbs, hammer and screw driver, important phone numbers or papers(a bullitin board is good for that),extra keys.what things are important to you and what do you use once in a while? make a list or just start organizing and it will come to you
