Office Closets

What is the best way to store custom figure skates?

I have a pair of custom figure skates, but I don't skate competetively so they sit in my closet for long periods of time. I have a black plastic thing that is flat on the bottom for the blade or the cloth scrunchie things. I don't have a bag, box or case for them. Are there any really good ways to store them long term?

  1. those cloth scrunchie things are called soakers. always put those on, they soak up condensation and protect the blade. wrap each skate in a clean pillowcase and then store them in a fleece tie string bag(you can make it or buy it) you could leave them in the closet, but if you do put them in one of those boxes that comes with a lid so they don't get squished. Note: just before you store them, clean and polish them.
  2. Same as the first aswerer but I have a thing to add. Wipe some vasaline on the blades. Dry them out compleatly before storing.
  3. just make sure they are dry before you put them away and put soakers on the blades. then put them in some kind of box or bag so they don't get dusty
