- Unfortunately, the Sony a200 is not capable of taking a similar photo as your sample because: 1. There is no manual shutter release; 2. No way to open the shutter via a cable release or a timing device for any long exposures; 3. One cannot adjust the ASA setting below 100. The best solution is to look for a "rental" "film" 120 sized/6X7 SLR with total manual controls and settings and possibly a Polaroid back. See samys.com for their rental prices. Begin by: 1. Load and attach the Polaroid back onto the SLR; 2. Place the camera on a tripod; 3. Compose the image to fill the viewing screen; 4. Open the shutter; 5. Acquire a small handheld flash unit which can be manually flashed and walk around the room flashing various areas that you want covered; 6. Or acquire a set of 12"-14" Smith-Victor tunsten lamps [with holders] and paint the scene with light. 7. Do a number of test shots and view the results via Polaroids; 8. Then finalize the shoot by loading the SLR with appropriate ASA 64 or lower rated film: and take the final shot; 9. Then take the film to be developed by a professional lab and for prints. Good luck!
