How can I keep my room clean and organised?

Its messy with notes from school everywhere! How can I keep it tidy and with lots of space?

1. make sure everything has a set place, then dont forgt where that place is, eat filing cabitnets or an extra dresser could probably help

3. by cleaning it everyday so it doesn't get out of hand
4. I was exactly the same. I wasnt acheiving my highest in school because of it! Now i wake up at 7 every morning and go to bed at 10. I keep all of my clothes in the cupboard (folded regularly), and now everyone thinks i have OCD and my school has improved and im all-round a happier person! Try taking it step at a time. Rome wasnt built in a day!
5. Once every few months get some friends over and do a spring clean. Take turns going to each others places and helping each other out. Its a great way to enjoy cleaning up because you can talk and have fun while doing it. That is if you don't mind them going through your stuff. Put all your papers in folders for each subject so you can refer to them and if you need them they will be easy to find. It also helps to dedicate half and hour a day to cleaning up and organising. If you pull things out put it back straight away.
6. My cleaning motto: Touch it once! Always put everything away never lay it down to be dealt with later.

8. Lots of space means less furniture or smaller . If you have any huge old-style dresser get rid of it first. Replace horizontal storage units with vertical and narrow ones with drawers or shelves in light colours. Put some mirrors - any shape u want (but not too big pieces-about hand size) to make a nice pattern on the darkest wall of the room. Paint the walls different colours or different shade of same colour-the lighter shade on the wall that gets less light. Change the light fixture if it's a single unit one with one with at least 5 halogen bulbs that u can point different directions and put the spot on some details in your room that are colourfull and nice- a vase, a clock on the wall, a painting/poster, a mirror... About the paperwork, I would put up a cork board on the wall or the back of the door and pin in there the notes from school that I have to deal with and keep the ones that I solved in a drawer or in a box under the bed-if u really need to keep them. Most important : DON'T TRY TO COPY ANOTHER ROOM THAT U THINK IT'S COOL DO SOMETHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY YOURSELF and be proud of it!
