Do any of you have great tips on cleaning and decluttering?
To clean my ceiling fans I take an old pillow case and spray the inside with Endust or Pledge cleaner. Then slip the case over dirty fan blades. Then you can dust the blades but the dust stays in the pillow case instead of all over the floor. All you have to do then is take the case outside, turn it inside out and give it a few quick shakes. After you have done all of the fans just throw it in the washer and it will be ready for the next time! The rest of the fan can usually be dusted without making a big mess. Maybe use a damp cloth.

- I absolutely love my swiffer (sp?) duster. It don't spread the dust but absorbs it. I also like how you can buy them with pledge and different scents that make your house look good and smell great.
- To keep costs down on floor cleaner- get the swiffer wet system (for tile and hardwood floors only please). Then, when you run our of the wet cloths they provide, buy a pack of utility towels from A home supply store (white terry). They are reusable, and you can use a store bought cleaner, or this one that keeps my hardwood floors SUPER shiny (test on small area first) 1 part rubbing alcohol 1 part water 1 part white vinegar Spray flor with light mist after sweeping, then take swiffer sweeper with terry cloth and rub dry- floors will be shiny and clean! And this cleaner is non toxic after drying (unlike ammonia) so its ok for pets and kids
- Love your ceiling fan cleaning idea because I have 2 outside and 6 inside which all require regular cleaning in this dusty canyon. My tip is to keep a spray bottle with 2/3 cup vinegar and the rest water in the shower and mist after showering. It keeps the mineral deposits and mildew from growing until I sanitize it once a week. I also use denture cleaning tablets in my toilet and in flower vases from time to time to keep them sparkling.
