Can you give magazines, and books to hospitals?

and some toys. Well I am in process of decluttering and because someone has a appointment at the hospital soon I was wandering to send a few items to give to the children who are ill etc and some magazines e.g mother and baby etc Can I?

4. ~What a thoughtful idea! Yes, you can. Especially public hospitals. The hospital I work for has a weekly "thrift store" that is run by volunteers. People donate clothes, books, mags, shoes, jewelry etc. The proceeds go to help the public hospital. Call and ask what you can donate. Anything will be appreciated~
